Job Description

MAU is hiring an Accountant for our client in Atlanta, GA. As an Accountant, you will support the corporate accounting team by performing General Ledger accounting, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and financial reporting support. This is a long-term renewable contract opportunity.

Shift Information

• Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite and 3 days remote
• Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Additional flexibility may be needed during month-end close

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Active CPA license
• Approximately 2–5+ years of accounting experience

Preferred Education and Experience

• Corporate accounting experience
• Experience working in a fast-paced accounting environment

General Requirements

• Strong General Ledger accounting experience
• Hands-on month-end close experience
• Experience preparing journal entries
• Account reconciliation experience
• Cash accounting and Accounts Receivable experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team

Essential Functions

• Prepare journal entries to support the month-end close process.
• Maintain and reconcile General Ledger accounts.
• Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations.
• Support cash accounting and Accounts Receivable activities.
• Account for prepaid expenses and miscellaneous expense accounts.
• Research account variances and prepare financial analyses.
• Assist with financial reporting and close support schedules.
• Partner with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Support additional accounting projects and responsibilities as needed.
