Job Description

Salary: $131,300 - 237,350 per year Requirements:

  • We require U.S. citizenship and an active Secret DoD security clearance.
  • We require a bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, along with 12+ years of systems engineering experience; equivalent work experience may be considered in place of a degree.
  • We need strong experience with requirements management and traceability on medium- to large-scale programs.
  • We require familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) practices and/or the systems engineering V-model in government environments.
  • We expect demonstrated ability to assess risks and uncertainties while guiding projects through established processes.
  • We require a solid understanding of complex system development methods.
  • We need experience creating technical documentation.
  • We require experience working within the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • We expect knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • We require proven experience leading a team in a technical or chief engineering role.
  • We require excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • We require a DoD 8570-approved security certification, such as Security+, within 90 days of hire.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience using AI for systems engineering, familiarity with Cameo, and security-focused certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or SANS certifications.
  • Preferred experience also includes understanding cryptographic key lifecycles, interfaces and protocols for loading data into end-crypto units, encryption algorithms, secure transmission standards, scalable secure architectures, networking protocols such as TCP/IP and OSI models, and Android.
Responsibilities:
  • We lead systems engineering, hardware, and software analysis in support of the NGLD-M project.
  • We define and apply systems engineering processes to build solutions that satisfy customer needs.
  • We guide the full system development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through verification, validation, and sustainment.
  • We manage requirements decomposition, allocation, verification, and validation for use by development and test teams.
  • We develop system architecture, CONOPS, and use cases using established systems engineering methods.
  • We identify and mitigate technical risks related to secure hardware.
  • We participate in and lead customer meetings, working groups, and technical interchange sessions.
  • We research, write, review, and refine technical documentation, including manuals, design specifications, interface requirement documents, user guides, reference materials, installation guides, data sheets, and briefing materials.
