job summary:
We are seeking a Field Service Operator to support daily drone delivery operations. This position is responsible for setting up and taking down delivery drones, performing safety inspections, maintaining operational equipment, and ensuring smooth flight operations in compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
This is a hands-on, outdoor position that requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety.
Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST (hours may occasionally shift to 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST)
Pay: $25/hour (Non-Exempt, eligible for overtime pay at 1.5x for hours worked over 40)
Duration: 1 Year + Possible Extension
Target Start Date: July 8, 2026 (First week remote)
Must be available to travel to Dallas for onsite training (expenses covered) 7/20.

responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-flight and post-flight aircraft inspections
- Conduct daily startup and shutdown procedures
- Perform routine aircraft maintenance practices in accordance with company guidelines
- Inspect drone nest equipment and operational systems
- Replace and maintain operational equipment as needed
- Participate in daily crew briefings
- Maintain communication with the Pilot-in-Command throughout flight operations
- Follow all FAA regulations, company procedures, and safety protocols
- Accurately complete operational documentation and checklists
Training & Travel Requirements
- Week 1: Remote training
- Week 2: Required travel to Dallas, TX for onsite training
- Occasional travel between operational sites may be required
- Mileage reimbursement provided at $0.725 per mile when using a personal vehicle for approved travel
Additional Information
- Candidates may be required to attend a Night Operations Familiarization Program to support operations after daylight hours.
- If assigned to multiple operating sites ("dual nests"), end-of-day responsibilities may extend beyond the standard shift to support site shutdown procedures.
- This position is fully onsite; remote work is not available.

Required Qualifications
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
Valid Driver's License
Current Auto Insurance
Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) screening
U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
Ability to work independently and follow standard operating procedures
Physical Requirements
Lift and carry up to 35 pounds
Lift and place objects weighing up to 20 pounds from ground level
Push or pull wheeled equipment weighing up to 200 pounds
Walk and stand for extended periods (10,000+ steps per day)
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including temperatures ranging from 23°F to 110°F
Maintain visual awareness and attention to detail throughout the workday
