Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on HR Specialist for our food manufacturing facility. This is a critical role that bridges corporate policy and frontline operations. You will be the main point of contact for our workforce, balancing full-lifecycle recruiting with robust employee relations, leave management, and workplace investigations. Our client has a large Spanish speaking pool of associates, therefore this role requires fluency in Spanish

salary: $26 - $30 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 9 AM - 5:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Manage all Leave of Absence (LOA) accounts, maintaining all pertinent files available
  • Manage employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends in employee performance and engagement.
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities and decorations.
  • Implement talent management strategies to enhance employee development and retention.
  • Negotiate employee contracts and manage benefits administration.
  • Address employee relations issues by applying conflict management techniques effectively.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with management to develop HR policies that align with organizational goals.
Experience

  • Proven experience in human resources management or a related field is essential.
  • Familiarity with HR software systems is preferred.
  • strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
  • Experience in handling Leave of Absence (LOA) processes effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data effectively to support decision-making processes.

The essential functions of this role include:

  • working up to 1 hrs of overtime per week
