The General Production Worker serves in an entry-level utility role within a meat processing production facility, performing a variety of general labor tasks rather than a single fixed function. This position supports safe, efficient, and high-quality production by following all established procedures, maintaining a clean and sanitary work area, and assisting with equipment setup, operation support, and basic line activities throughout the shift.

Work Environment
This role operates in a manufacturing environment within a meat processing facility. Employees regularly work around moving mechanical parts and may occasionally work at high or elevated locations. The facility includes both colder areas, around 30 degrees, and warmer temperature zones, and the noise level is usually high. The position requires standing and walking constantly throughout the shift, frequent use of hands and fingers to handle products and equipment, and the ability to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as tasks demand. Lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 pounds is a regular part of the job, and both hands are used to manage materials and product flow. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Appropriate work attire suitable for a cold, high-noise, food manufacturing environment is required, along with any necessary personal protective equipment provided in accordance with safety and food safety standards.
