Interim Manager Operating Room Registered Nurse opportunity available with a highly respected Southern California community hospital just southeast of downtown Los Angeles. The Interim Manager Operating Room Registered Nurse reports to senior nursing leadership and provides direct oversight for Pre-Admission Testing, Pre-Op, the Operating Room, PACU, Endoscopy, Sterile Processing, and Anesthesia services. This leader partners closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, department directors, and clinical educators while mentoring charge nurses and frontline staff to ensure smooth daily operations and outstanding patient outcomes.
The Interim Manager Operating Room Registered Nurse oversees a fast-paced perioperative department supporting a diverse mix of surgical specialties across multiple procedural areas. This role works alongside experienced surgeons, highly skilled perioperative nurses, anesthesia professionals, and dedicated surgical technologists to maintain efficient patient flow, deliver exceptional care, and promote a collaborative team culture where everyone is focused on quality.
The Interim Manager Operating Room Registered Nurse will lead staff development, coaching, competency validation, and clinical quality initiatives while fostering an environment centered on patient safety and evidence-based practice. Administrative responsibilities include staffing and scheduling, operational oversight, physician collaboration, regulatory readiness, and partnering with support departments to maintain efficient surgical services. Previous acute care perioperative leadership experience, along with a California Registered Nurse license and strong knowledge of surgical services operations, will position candidates for success in this interim assignment.
