Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and qualify packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Select and evaluate packaging materials, ensuring performance, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and suppliers to define packaging requirements and specifications.
• Conduct testing and validation of packaging designs to ensure product protection and regulatory compliance.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities in packaging materials and processes.
• Troubleshoot packaging-related issues on the production line and implement corrective actions.
• Manage packaging projects from concept to launch, adhering to timelines and budgets.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in packaging development or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and knowledge of packaging materials and testing standards (e.g., ISTA, ASTM).
• Demonstrated ability to manage packaging projects from concept through production launch.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain considerations, and sustainability principles in packaging.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with sustainable packaging design principles and lifecycle assessments (LCA).
• Proficiency in advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA) for packaging performance and material optimization.
• Familiarity with packaging automation, robotics, and vision systems integration within manufacturing lines.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
