QA Tester Hospital Information System (HIS)

Job Summary

The QA Tester will validate Hospital Information System (HIS) modules and workflows, ensuring seamless operation across clinical, administrative, and financial functions within healthcare organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Test HIS modules including:
  • Patient Registration
  • OPD/IPD Management
  • Appointment Scheduling
  • Billing & Revenue Cycle
  • Laboratory Information System (LIS)
  • Pharmacy Management
  • Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Ward and Bed Management
• Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and defect reports.
• Validate end-to-end hospital workflows across integrated modules.
• Perform integration testing between HIS and EMR systems.
• Ensure data consistency across healthcare applications.
• Support SIT, UAT, and production testing activities.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of hospital and clinical workflows.
• Experience testing HIS applications.
• Knowledge of healthcare terminology and patient care processes.
• SQL and database testing experience.
• Defect management using Jira, ALM, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with API and integration testing.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to leading HIS platforms.
• Automation testing knowledge.
• Understanding of HL7 integrations.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Healthcare Informatics, or equivalent.
