Overview
Sterile Processing Technician (Certified) — Baltimore, Maryland, United States. This is a travel, temporary assignment starting August 3, 2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $994 to $1,043 per week with 40 guaranteed hours. Shift is 11:00 AM–7:30 PM in a hospital setting. The role requires maintaining and processing instruments and supplies for the surgical program, under direct supervision, within a hospital environment.

Responsibilities
- Under direct supervision, care for, handle, and store instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for surgery and processed goods for redistribution throughout the medical center
- Assist Sterile Processing Specialists with team lead duties, such as maintaining competencies
- Decontaminate, assemble, sterilize, package, and distribute instrument sets according to protocols
- Maintain accurate instrument inventory, labeling, and storage to ensure traceability
- Document processing steps and report issues to supervisors; participate in quality improvement activities

Requirements
- Minimum 24 months of current Sterile Processing Technician/SPT experience
- Active HSPA certification (IAHCSMM) for at least 2 years
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification
- COVID-19 vaccination required; declinations not accepted
- Previous travel experience required
- Locals accepted; ability to work in a hospital setting
