Ascend Rehab – Twins Cities Metro (Saint Therese of Corcoran location)

Part-Time | Fitness Specialist

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 30-35 hours per week.

Pay Range: $25.50-$30.77 per hour

The Difference You’ll Make

1. Facilitate exercise and wellness program services to seniors 55-90+ years young
2. Focus on promotion of health; enhancing relaxation, balance, flexibility, endurance, strength and cognitive stimulation for clients (residents, tenants, and the greater community).
3. Administer wellness protocols in 1:1 personal sessions
4. Lead land and/or water based classes, and monitor open gym/swim clients.
5. Responsible for providing quality client care that may include: assisting therapists with rehab services, transporting, transferring, toileting, positioning and validating client concerns.

Qualifications Required:

Education Required :

1. Two-year Associates of Arts Degree as Assistants in either PT/OT
2. And/or a degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Health Science, or Exercise Physiology and certified by the respective associations as required

Experience Preferred:

1. Experience working with seniors desired
2. Ability to accurately plan and carry out assignments without direct supervision
3. High level of commitment to compassionate customer service­­
4. Maintained awareness and sensitivity to client needs, interests and abilities

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

1. Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal regulations
2. Ability to accurately plan and carry out assignments without direct supervision
3. Proven history of good judgment, integrity and consideration to others
4. High level of commitment to compassionate customer service­­
5. Ability to meet physical demands of the position including ability to turn, lift, and carry
